He graduated from Istanbul Medical Faculty in 1995. Akdeniz completed his residency at Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Otorhinolaryngology between 1996 and 2000. Between 2000 and 2001, he worked as an observer at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ear Nose and Throat. After his duty there, he worked at Universal Hospital German Hospital between 2001 and 2002. Between 2002 and 2014, he worked at Bursa Şevket Yılmaz Research Hospital.
